Formed in 2008 at the prestigious Curtis Institute in Philadelphia—where the members are now on faculty and Ensemble in Residence—the Dover Quartet (whose name is inspired by the masterpiece Dover Beach from Barber) began to gain attention with their all-around sweep of prizes at the Banff International String Quartet Competition in 2013.

Our “Intimate Evening” concerts are a unique evening of music in a smaller setting that frequently sells out. The program is abbreviated (approx 60 min.) with conversations between the musicians and audience, in true chamber music style!
